This position is part of the IT Department, located in Bangalore, India. You will be part of the Compliance team and report to the Compliance Leader responsible for data governance strategy, data quality, and enabling trusted, compliant data across enterprise platforms, analytics, and AI initiatives.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Define and operationalize enterprise data governance practices, including data ownership, stewardship, data quality, and lifecycle management.
Partner with business and IT stakeholders to establish and maintain enterprise data standards, definitions, and policies across platforms.
Coordinate with technical analysts and solution architects to optimize master data across key domains and systems, including defining required customer data fields, naming conventions, identifiers, hierarchies, and relationships across CRM and ERP environments.
Lead initiatives to improve data quality, consistency, and usability, including validation, de-duplication, and process improvements that support analytics and AI use cases.
Support the implementation and adoption of data governance tools, including metadata management, data catalogs, lineage, and quality monitoring.
Collaborate with solution architects, application teams, and analytics teams to embed governance into data pipelines, integrations, and AI solutions.
Enable regulatory, privacy, and compliance requirements through data classification, access controls, usage guidelines, and stakeholder training and documentation that promote data literacy and governance adoption.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
At least 6–8 years of experience in data governance, data management, or enterprise data roles.
Demonstrated experience implementing data governance frameworks, including stewardship, ownership, and data quality processes.
Experience working with enterprise data and analytics platforms, such as data warehouses, data lakes, or analytics ecosystems.
Hands‑on experience with data governance, metadata, or data quality tools.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience applying industry data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK or similar).
Exposure to privacy, regulatory, or quality-driven environments impacting data usage.
Experience supporting analytics or AI initiatives requiring trusted, governed data.
