About the Role
The Team Lead Business Analytics is the craft leader and a point of reference for commercial analytics, data, insights and reporting within the global Business Intelligence team. You will serve as the key analytics partner for our Commercial teams across Sales, Account Management, Onboarding, and Distribution.
Acting as both a strategic partner and operational leader, you will guide the team in delivering actionable insights and building scalable data foundations. You will harness analytical tools and methods to empower teams across the business with insights that support data-driven decisions, delivering client value and contributing to company revenue growth.
As Team Lead Business Analytics, you will oversee the full lifecycle of reporting and data models development, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement. You will work in close collaboration with the Director of BI, to whom this role reports directly, to execute the analytics roadmap and lead key projects aligned with broader business objectives.
You’ll work on high-impact initiatives, leveraging your understanding of the business along with knowledge of data, workflows, methods, and tools to independently drive analysis and reporting. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating project delivery, managing team resource allocation, and mentoring team members to strengthen their analytical skills and business impact.
To be successful in this role, you’ll combine a deep understanding of data analytics and business operations with strong communication and leadership skills, and play a key role in advancing a culture of insight-led decisions at FareHarbor.
What you’ll do here:
- Oversee the end-to-end design and delivery of scalable reporting solutions, metrics, and data models to monitor business performance, ensuring data accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Lead the implementation of reporting standards and data governance practices by establishing automated quality checks, maintaining metric definitions, and ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity across all reporting in scope.
- Support the execution of the global BI strategy and analytics roadmap in close collaboration with the Director of BI, contributing to key initiatives and helping resolve challenges.
- Serve as a trusted analytics partner to Commercial leadership, applying deep expertise in data and commercial analytics to translate business needs into actionable insights, reporting, and scalable data solutions.
- Leverage advanced data analysis and visualization tools to deliver insights and strategic recommendations that drive operational efficiency and revenue growth.
- Manage cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Product, Finance, Data Engineering, and Business Operations teams, ensuring OKR alignment, proactively anticipating data dependencies and seeking managerial guidance in complex situations.
- Promote scalable analytics solutions by enhancing and adapting internal and external frameworks, developing playbooks and BI knowledge base, and upskilling team members on their effective use.
- Lead team projects and coordinate resource allocation within the scope of the team and delivery tracking to ensure priorities are aligned, and BI team OKRs are achieved.
- Ensure the quality of work delivered by direct reports by reviewing scoping (methods, methodology, mechanics), outputs, enforcing adherence to standards of excellence, and continuously drive improvements in analytical precision and execution quality.
- Actively participate in BI community initiatives such as training sessions, onboarding programs, and recruitment to elevate analytics excellence across the organization and promote data and analytics best practices.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to team members by supporting onboarding, upskilling, and performance development.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics and science, commercial analytics, preferably in a B2B SaaS or technology environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Statistics or a related field.
- Experience leading or mentoring analytics professionals and/or projects, with demonstrated ability to manage team performance and project delivery.
- Expertise in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis. Statistical modeling skills are a strong advantage.
- Experience with data transformation tools (e.g., dbt) and version control systems (e.g., GitLab) to manage data workflows.
- Experience with data governance practices, reporting standards, and quality monitoring processes.
- Advanced reporting skills using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI), with strong data storytelling and visualization to support strategic decisions.
- Proven ability to partner with commercial and cross-functional stakeholders to influence decision-making, define success metrics, anticipate data needs, and deliver scalable data solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data findings into actionable recommendations in a fast-paced, dynamic, high energy environment.
- Agile and lean thinking, with a bias for action and a focus on delivering business results.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
This role is available to candidates located in the Netherlands and requires ability to work in a hybrid setup with in-office presence (3 days/week)..
