Are you a commercially minded analyst who loves uncovering the insights that drive revenue growth, and ready to take ownership of some of our most important commercial metrics?

As Lead Commercial Analyst at Jagex, you'll own the analysis of ARPU and subscription performance, tracking results against budgets and forecasts and recommending the actions that keep us on course. Working closely with our Pricing & Subscription, Data Engineering & BI, and Finance teams, you'll build the financial models and dashboards that shape our pricing strategy and long-term planning for RuneScape.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a trusted voice with senior leadership, spotting risks early, helping prevent revenue loss, and bringing greater transparency and accountability to how we report on our top-line performance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the calculation and in-depth analysis of ARPU, monitoring performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances, and recommending corrective action where needed.
  • Monitor subscription numbers and other cohort data against budgets and forecasts, flagging variances and recommending next steps.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and Tableau dashboards that support strategic pricing decisions, long-term planning, and accountability for ARPU and subscription performance.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of key revenue metrics, trends, and performance drivers, including chargebacks and fraud, assessing their financial impact.
  • Present clear, impactful findings to senior leadership to inform strategic discussions.
  • Provide ARPU and subscription assumptions into the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives and guiding senior management.
  • Partner with the Pricing & Subscription team to develop long-term pricing strategies, and with the Data Engineering & BI team to build datasets and dashboards for ongoing monitoring.
  • Work with Finance to create commercial reporting and analysis that helps us understand business performance, continuously improving how we report on revenue.

What we're looking for:

  • Significant experience in data and analysis, ideally in the gaming sector or a subscription-based business.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed or similar environment is an advantage.
  • Comprehensive expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights that drive business performance.
  • Proficiency in data languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
  • Proficiency in visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels across the organisation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • A high level of curiosity and a track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex problems.

What we offer:

When you join Jagex you can look forward to a generous Perks & Benefits package including:

  • Private Healthcare, including Dental Plan.
  • Minimum 6% Pension contributions.
  • Employee Assistance Programme & onsite Counselling.
  • Life Insurance.
  • Discretionary annual performance bonus.
  • Enhanced family leave policies from day 1.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays & the option to buy/sell holidays + so much more!
