What to Expect?

  • Lead and plan the definition, analysis, validation and maintenance of functional requirements for large size/complexity/system risk projects by working in close liaison with customers and other divisions and in line with evolving business requirements

  • Validate proposed solutions to technical and/or business problems in relation to current and future business environment, reconciling business requirements with technical solutions.

  • Provide highly technical or relevant business knowledge during all phases of the development and resolve unique and complex business problems, recognising technical constraints.

  • Produce and maintain conceptual models ( data and functional) in accordance with the adopted methodology.

  • Conduct presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives. Approve and conduct training session on system solutions.

  • Understand technological trends in own area of responsibility and apply this knowledge to bring solutions to the customers.

  • Lead and plan the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.

  • Interface with application software development and other users as appropriate to explain solutions.

  • May in line with established procedures, organise, co-ordinate and control the recurring output of one or several teams of specialists in the area. May be consulted on people- and department management issues. Assist less senior team members in resolving problems.

  • May support business users on deployed/live systems.

Builds and maintains effective working relationships with a range of customers; actively listens to and translates complex needs into appropriate solutions while remaining sensitive to the complexities of the business and SWIFT's commitment to integrity in all relationships; encourages others to demonstrate strong customer focus and responsiveness.

6. Leads with a team focus

Forms and mobilises teams; contributes to team effectiveness through people management or professional leadership; respects diversity and encourages others to do so; provides motivational opportunities and recognises differences in team member contributions; serves as a role model by living SWIFT values.

7. Communicates effectively

Communicates effectively across a wide range of practical or theoretical issues; modifies communication style to optimise understanding by others; clarifies applicable goals, objectives and business situations; acknowledges and respects other views.

8. Education

University degree in Computer Science, electronic engineering or equivalent. Post-graduate in Marketing / MBA or equivalent is an asset

9. Years of Experiences

Typically requires 6 to 10 years experience, preferably in similar roles and/or industries
