Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead/Senior Consultant to manage and deliver end‑to‑end data migration activities for large-scale transformation programs within the capital markets domain.
This role is responsible for defining migration strategy, overseeing data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and ensuring data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle. You will work closely with business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure seamless data transition with minimal disruption to operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Define and lead the overall data migration strategy, approach, and execution plan
- Manage end‑to‑end migration activities, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
- Oversee data discovery, profiling, and mapping, ensuring alignment between source and target systems
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and completeness through validation and reconciliation processes
- Plan and manage migration test cycles, including dry runs, mock migrations, and production readiness
- Coordinate with business, technology, and vendor teams to manage dependencies and deliverables
- Identify and mitigate data risks, issues, and inconsistencies throughout the migration lifecycle
- Establish and enforce data migration governance, standards, and documentation
- Support cutover planning and execution, ensuring smooth transition to production
- Oversee post-migration validation and stabilization, including issue resolution and business sign-off
Required
- 8–12+ years of experience in data migration / data management roles.
- Proven experience leading large-scale system migration or transformation programs in banking, financial services, capital market domain is a must.
- Strong expertise in ETL processes and data migration frameworks
- Experience handling complex, high-volume data environments
- Strong knowledge of data validation, reconciliation, and data quality management
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Technical Skills (Preferred)
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS)
- Strong SQL and data querying skills
- Familiarity with databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)
- Experience with data migration automation and scripting
- Understanding of cloud or modern data platforms (optional advantage)
