This role is focused on supporting SEL teams to improve the quality of their processes. You will work alongside employees from multiple divisions to help them with disciplined problem-solving, implementing strong corrective actions, and maintaining clear lines of communication throughout the duration of the problem-solving process. You will also support data driven decisions by analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.
The position offers opportunities for developing problem-solving and project management skills and becoming a trusted quality expert.
As a Process Improvement Specialist I, a typical day might include:
Experience with facilitating onsite external assessments; Internal auditor experience; and experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory or ISO 9001 quality program.
Participating with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and to brainstorm solutions.
Performing data analysis, identifying trends and aligning KPIs.
Encouraging and supporting employee engagement in problem solving activities
Communicating current status and action plans for problem solving efforts
Supporting business initiatives to meet operational objectives
Promoting the use of SEL’s Quality Tools within assigned areas
This might be the job for you if:
You have a B.S. or B.A. in Business, Math, Statistics, Communications (or related) or equivalent experience
You have 2+ years experience in project management, process improvement, or data analytics
You have strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills
You have strong project management and problem-solving skills
You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries in a team environment
You have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of SEL product and manufacturing processes
Familiarity with SELs Problem Solving Applications
You are a ASQ Certified Process Analyst/Six Sigma Green Belt

Pay Range Data
Process Improvement Specialist I, $32.06 - $47.38 per hour. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
