EBANX is looking for a Senior Account Manager with deep expertise in helping China-based strategic enterprises to unlock growth across emerging markets, e.g. Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia etc.. This role sits in the APAC commercial organization and is built for someone who thrives in complexity, moves fast, and takes full ownership end to end.
You'll manage a portfolio of strategic/enterprise merchants across high-growth verticals, driving year-on-year revenue expansion through tailored commercial strategies and relationship management. To succeed here, you need more than account management experience — you need the ability to read a business quickly, identify the right lever to push and execute.
What you'll do:
- Own and grow the merchant portfolio, identifying and closing cross-sell and upsell opportunities to meet or exceed revenue targets;
- Lead commercial negotiations with clients, balancing their needs with EBANX's commercial goals — making it a Win-Win result;
- A deep understanding of the client’s business model and business needs; design and deliver merchant-specific growth strategies leveraging data, market intel, payment landscape etc.;
- Build and sustain trusted, long-term relationships with senior merchant stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor;
- Conduct regular performance reviews with clients to identify gaps, propose improvements, and co-create roadmaps for growth;
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, legal, and compliance teams to resolve issues and deliver a seamless merchant experience;
- Translate complex payment and regulatory topics into clear, actionable guidance for merchants navigating LATAM markets for the first time;
- Manage your pipeline rigorously in Salesforce, using data to prioritize and forecast with accuracy
What's mandatory:
- Mandarin as a native language; fluent English;
- 7+ years in account management or business development, with demonstrated experience managing senior-level client relationships in e-commerce, OTA, gaming, or related verticals;
- 7+ years of payment industry knowledge of payment processing flow, card scheme policy, chargeback and fraud management, card payment, local alternative payment methods etc.;
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets in a growth-stage or fast-moving environment;
- Strong analytical mindset: comfortable working with data to build a case, spot an opportunity, or challenge an assumption;
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or related field;
- Overseas living or study experience preferred — comfort operating across cultures is essential in this role;
- Flexible availability to accommodate China, US and LATAM time zone overlap
What we're looking for beyond the resume:
- Deep client communication craft: You know how to navigate a tense commercial conversation, deliver difficult feedback, and still walk out with the relationship stronger than before. You adapt your communication style to the audience — whether it's a client's finance team or their CEO.
- Industry credibility: You've worked closely with merchants in e-commerce, gaming, OTA, or fintech that you understand their unit economics, seasonal dynamics, and competitive pressures.
- Resilience and adaptability: The emerging market like LATAM is not a simple market — regulations shift, products evolve, and different clients’ needs. You stay composed under ambiguity and find a path forward.
- Accountability for execution: You don't just identify what needs to happen — you make it happen. You follow through, close loops, and hold yourself accountable for outcomes.
- Entrepreneurial energy: You treat your portfolio like a business. You spot opportunities, propose solutions proactively. You lead the talks both externally and internally.
EBANX offers:
- Spanish, English, and Portuguese classes;
- WAVES - Program of goals and results (variable compensation);
- EBANX Education: financial support for undergraduate, graduate, and MBA programs so you can develop important skills for your career;
- EBANX Skills: budget for workshops and courses;
- EBANX Flexible: Birthday Day Off;
Big dream. Results-driven. Team player. That's the kind of person who fits the EBANX culture — and this role specifically.
