As the Accounting & Reporting (A&R) Accountant – P2P, you are part of the Asia Pacific Finance Shared Service Team that supports the shared service finance operation in the Asia Pacific Region.

About You

We’re recruiting an Accounting & Reporting (A&R) Accountant – P2P reporting to the Snr A&R Accountant – P2P, based in Shanghai.

You are responsible for the company's daily accounting work, accurately recording and accounting following relevant accounting standards, handling foreign currency transactions and other business operations, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, and participating in BSAR and RCM. Communicate and collaborate with relevant internal and external personnel to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and smooth progress of financial work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Invoice processing; Review, verify, and process 3rd party /intercompany vendor invoices, ensure the accuracy and efficiency of AP daily operation;
  • Prepare /Review/follow up long aging AP items and improve AP process;
  • Coordinate closely with AR, RTR, Tax, Treasury, and other finance functions during closing cycle;
  • Support accounting operations for multiple legal entities across APAC region;
  • Support month-end closing process and deliver accurate AP reporting;
  • Support external and internal audit activities and ensure compliance with internal control requirements Multi-Entity & ERP Support;
  • Work within different ERP environments including SAP and Kingdee;
  • Support standardization and optimization of P2P processes across entities;
  • Assist in establishing SOPs, workflows, and process documentation;
  • Identify process gaps, control risks, and improvement opportunities proactively;
  • Communicate effectively with local finance teams, business stakeholders, and global shared service teams ;
  • Participate in workshops, project discussions, and process review meetings;
  • Have knowledge of end-to-end (E2E) of the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process;

This role is assigned to operate in Shanghai, Xuhui District

What You’ll have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; may be working towards a professional qualification.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in a shared service set-up, preferably in a multi-national organisation
  • Developing knowledge of methodologies, processes, practices, and common issues of the Accounting & Reporting function.
  • Able to convey straightforward technical and non-technical information to audiences that generally understand the subject matter.
  • Able to converse in English & Mandarin effectively as this role liaises with both regional and global shared service finance team members.
  • Primarily focuses on providing support to the team.
  • Able to work under general supervision, with some guidance from a competent professional or manager needed from time to time.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; working towards professional qualification
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a shared service setup
  • Experience with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) end-to-end processes
  • Experience processing and verifying vendor and intercompany invoices (AP operations)
  • Experience supporting month-end close and AP reporting
  • Experience working within ERP systems, specifically SAP and Kingdee
  • Ability to support external and internal audits and comply with internal control requirements
  • Able to converse effectively in English and Mandarin
  • Developing knowledge of Accounting & Reporting methodologies, processes, and common issues
  • Experience in a multi-entity, multi-legal-entity accounting environment (APAC)
  • Experience or willingness to assist in establishing SOPs, workflows, and process documentation
  • Experience in or exposure to multinational organisations (preferred)
