As an Advanced or Senior Advanced System / Project Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a key role in supporting the design, development, integration, and certification of mechanical systems for aerospace applications. You will work collaboratively with customers and internal teams to ensure successful project execution and contribute to the growth of innovative aerospace technologies.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Shanghai location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the performance, reliability, and integration of Honeywell Aerospace’s mechanical systems, especially APUs, supporting both Chinese and global aerospace programs and ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.

ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate between customers and Honeywell Aerospace organizations to integrate mechanical systems (in particular Auxiliary Power System) into aircraft and other airborne systems.
  • Support system definition, performance analysis, trade studies, and conceptual design during pursuit and development phases.
  • Organize and lead customer meetings including agenda preparation, translation, meeting minutes, and follow-up on action items.
  • Prepare gap analyses and closure plans for key open issues.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation such as interface control documents, performance analysis reports, reliability, maintenance, safety, and certification documentation.
  • Manage engineering data and track technical issues.
  • Assist in project planning, status monitoring, and stakeholder communication.
  • Control project scope and manage baseline changes.
  • Build and sustain excellent relationships between customers and Honeywell Aerospace.
  • Apply aerospace system certification processes (e.g., DO-178, DO-254, ARP 4761) to new and existing equipment.
  • Contribute to the growth of local team technical expertise and knowledge.
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant aerospace industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge in mechanical engineering, thermodynamics, turbomachinery, gas turbines, heat exchangers, and stress/load analysis.
  • Experience coordinating complex engineering projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to prepare and manage detailed engineering documentation and technical data.
  • Familiarity with aerospace certification processes and standards.
  • Proficiency in working independently and leading within a project environment.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
