In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.
The work model for the role is: hybrid.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Delivering occupational health and safety (OHS) training for new employees and interns, assigning mandatory periodic training, and monitoring completion in line with legal requirements and internal standards.
- Investigating workplace accidents, supporting hazard reporting processes, and driving corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and improve workplace safety.
- Conducting regular workplace inspections, assessing working conditions across office facilities, and providing recommendations to ensure compliance with OHS regulations and company standards.
- Monitoring and continuously improving the First Aid System by coordinating first aid training, maintaining preparedness, and supporting emergency response capabilities.
- Providing ergonomic assessments and guidance to employees while promoting health and safety awareness through communication, training, and safety initiatives across the organization.
- Supporting managers in delivering on-the-job safety training and collaborating with the Administration team to ensure health and safety requirements are met during office operations and company events.
- Developing, reviewing, and maintaining OHS policies, procedures, and work instructions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, internal standards, and continuous improvement of the OHS management system.
Qualifications for the role:
- You are highly skilled in occupational health and safety practices and enjoy working in a corporate office environment, supporting safe and compliant workplaces. Previous experience in an office environment is considered an advantage.
- You have up to 2 years of experience in occupational health and safety, with a good understanding of risk assessment principles, workplace hazard identification, and applicable OHS regulations.
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to support reporting, documentation, and communication activities.
- You are passionate about health and safety and are innovative around promoting safe behaviors, delivering presentations and training sessions, and collaborating effectively with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or another higher education qualification that meets the requirements of Polish health and safety regulations.
- You demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Knowledge of ergonomics and office workplace assessments is considered an asset.
- You are at ease communicating in English (written and spoken) and building effective working relationships across the organization.
