Summary
The Junior HR Consultant will play a key role in executing and implementing HR advisory projects for
client organisations. This role is ideal for professionals with some experience
in HR consulting, advisory services or with a good generalist background, or
those seeking to build a career in this field. The successful candidate will
work in the consulting team, ensuring best practices, compliance, and strategic
HR interventions for OML Africa’s clients. As a Junior Human Resources Consultant, you will
work closely with senior HR professionals to help design and implement HR
strategies that align with our client’s goals. This role offers the opportunity
to learn and develop skills in various HR functions, including employee
engagement, performance management, change management, compliance, etc.
Key
Responsibilities
· Research
and Data Analysis: Conduct
thorough research on industry trends, market data, and client information to
support consulting projects.
· Conduct
research and analysis on best practices and emerging regulations and practices to enhance advisory
services.
· Client
Interaction: Assist
in client meetings, take notes, and ensure that all client needs are documented
and addressed.
· Support
in liaising with clients concerning project deliverables via presentations,
meetings, reports, etc.
· Report
Preparation: Help
in drafting reports and presentations that communicate findings, insights, and
recommendations to clients.
· Project
Support: Collaborate
with senior consultants on various projects, providing analytical support and
contributing ideas.
· Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining
information files and processing paperwork, providing support across the
consulting portfolio.
· Assist
in putting together work plans and tracking the progress of projects.
· Assist
in executing HR advisory projects, including HR audits, HR documentations,
policy development (drafting, reviewing), and organisational change management
initiatives.
· Collaborate
with senior consultants to develop customised HR solutions for clients
· Assist
in all functions of Human Resource management projects for clients.
· Perform
any other HR-related duties assigned to support advisory projects and internal
HR initiatives.
· Process
Improvement: Identify
areas for process enhancement within client operations and contribute to
developing solutions.
· Assist
in putting proposals together for advisory contracts and projects.
· Documentation
Management: Maintain
and organise project documentation accurately and client files to ensure smooth
project execution.
· Stakeholder
Communication: Assist
in preparing communication materials for stakeholders, ensuring clear messaging
and alignment with project goals.
· Hold
briefings and presentations with clients and stakeholders
· Continuous
Learning: Stay
updated on industry best practices and emerging trends to enhance consulting
capabilities.
· Provide
support with Talent acquisition projects.
· Participate
in HR training and capacity-building programs for client organisations.
· Support
in other areas of the business as required.
Requirements
Qualifications
& Experience
· A
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a
related field.
· 1-3
years of experience in HR consultancy, or a generalist HR officer role.
· Experience in an
international/multicultural environment is an advantage
· Experience with HR CRM platforms;
· Exposure
to HR projects, compliance, and HR practice across at least 3 – 5 key
industries is an advantage.
· Strong
understanding of labour laws and HR best practices in Ghana and Africa is an
advantage.
· Experience
working in a consultancy or client-facing HR role is desirable but not
mandatory.

Skills Required
