We're currently looking for a Junior Embedded C Engineer to join our Radio Baseband Software Development teams, working on cutting-edge 5G - and shaping what comes next with 6G.
Role is based in Lodz, Poland, hybrid, 3 days from office is required.
What you'll be working on
You'll contribute to the Uplink or Downlink Physical Layer (L1) of our Baseband software - a critical foundation of Ericsson's market-leading 5G Radio Access Network (RAN), and a key area of innovation for future 6G technologies.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality baseband software using C, Python.
- Take part in the study, implementation, and verification of new 5G features, with opportunities to contribute to 6G development
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional, multi-cultural teams in a supportive and knowledge-sharing environment
- Managed and optimized AI development tools to streamline model training, testing, and deployment workflows
- Contribute ideas, improvements, and solutions - your voice matters here
What we're looking for
- Passionate about embedded software development - he/she demonstrates strong ownership and commitment to quality.
- Strong interest and experience in C and Python for real-time systems - he/she applies solid programming principles in performance-critical environments.
- Knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including 5G or 4G (3GPP specifications).
- Experience with one or more of the following areas, where he/she has contributed technically:
- Signal processing: RF or air-interface measurements, multi-core DSP programming in real-time environments and Embedded system design patterns
- A curious mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving - he/she works effectively within diverse teams.
- Motivation to keep learning and grow with evolving technologies - he/she embraces continuous development.
- Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Wireless Communication, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience with EMCA is nice to have.
