About the Role
We are seeking an Application Business Systems Analyst to join our London-based Projects & IT team responsible for implementing and supporting all applications and systems. Reporting to the AVP Projects, the successful candidate will engage with a broad range of stakeholders across the business and with external clients and software vendors to support our users, investigate and resolve issues, and contribute to the ongoing stable performance of our IT applications.
The office is located at 40 Leadenhall Street London UK and is using a Hybrid Working Model of 3 days in the office, 2 days working remotely each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Front-line application support: Triage, investigate, and resolve user issues across several systems. Ability to document incidents, fixes, and FAQs. Ability to spot recurring problems and propose preventative actions.
- Business analysis: Elicit and clarify requirements, map processes, define acceptance criteria, track enhancements and bugs.
- UAT & releases: Ability to prepare test cases, execute and record results, raise defects, and support smooth rollouts and post rollout support.
- Stakeholder engagement: Act as a clear point of contact for users, IT teams, and vendors. Ability to communicate status, current/future state, risks/issues, and next steps.
- Knowledge & training: Create/update guides and quick-reference materials; run short how-to sessions for end users.
- Vendor & SME coordination: Escalate issues with clear replication steps and track to resolution.
- Continuous improvement: Monitor support trends and suggest process or configuration enhancements and system configurations.
- Project delivery: Participate in the roll-out of new applications by assisting in the testing, onboarding new users, and preparing training materials.
Skills & Experience
- 2-3 years work experience in Projects, Business Analysis, IT or Applications Support at a Financial Services organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Technology Management, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to simplify complex issues for diverse audiences
- Ability to effectively manage and engage stakeholders at all levels, fostering strong relationships and aligning expectations
- Experience with Verisk Rulebook, Trace OpenTWINS and Document Management System platforms is an asset
- Knowledge of the (re)insurance industry is an asset
- Experience with Jira, Monday.com and/or ServiceNow is an asset
- You need to be legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified above and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit.
