Job DescriptionTo partner with business leaders and employees in delivering integrated People & Culture solutions that support business performance and organisational objectives. The role is responsible for driving Talent Acquisition, supporting key people management processes, providing employee relations guidance, and facilitating People & Culture programmes within the assigned portfolio. Through the use of Workforce Insights, stakeholder engagement, and effective people practices, the incumbent will contribute to an enhanced employee experience and the achievement of business goals.
QualificationsQualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/ Organisational Psychology, or related field.
- Strong understanding of Malawi labour laws, regulations, and employment standards.
- Strong data, reporting, and compliance skills
- A demonstrated track record of problem solving in support of business specific objectives.
- Understanding of the P&C impact measures is preferred.
- Experience working with leaders in a complex environment is preferred.
Key Job Functions
- Partner with business leaders and line managers to provide People & Culture advisory support on employee relations, policies, and workforce-related matters.
- Support the implementation of performance and talent management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, talent identification and succession planning initiatives.
- Drive end-to-end talent acquisition activities including workforce planning, sourcing, selection, assessment and onboarding, ensuring the attraction and retention of high-calibre talent.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention initiatives through the analysis of employee feedback, workforce trends, and the implementation of targeted people interventions.
- Manage employee life-cycle processes, including appointments, transfers, promotions, and exits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
- Provide support on employee relations matters, including disciplinary hearings, grievances and incapacity cases, in line with labor legislation, company policies, and best practice.
- Analyze workforce data, talent insights, and people metrics to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and support informed business decision-making.
- Contribute to the delivery of People & Culture projects, organizational effectiveness initiatives, and change management programmes aligned to business objectives.
