The Role
Junior Brand Assurance Manager
Responsibilities
As a key member of the Brand Management division, the Junior Brand Assurance Manager will oversee the end-to-end product development process for selected brands across multiple categories (e.g., toys, F&B, apparel, health & beauty) from initial concept through to mass production.
Ensure licensees adhere to product development processes across each brand program.
Review submissions from licensees across product concepts, packaging and marketing – making sure they align with relevant brand guidelines.
Build strong relationships with licensors, clients and licensees to facilitate product approvals and drive projects forward.
Utilize product approval platforms effectivity (e.g., Brand Comply & Media Box) and provide training/guidance to licensees.
Ensure all submissions are reviewed within 48 hours, delivering prompt and clear feedback. Ensure product assortment is aligned with granted rights and category strategy for licensees.
Understand the ‘pressure points’ of product approvals and use effective influence and diplomatic skills to achieve results for the licensors, clients & licensees.
Support creative kick offs, new licensee onboarding, and other creative calls as needed. Inspire licensees to leverage creative assets and deliver innovative, brand-appropriate products.
Manage brand style guide and asset distribution to licensees. Ensure all products and marketing materials align with brand guidelines.
Work collaboratively with Client Leads and Brand Managers, and help with updates to brands decks, trackers, status reports, and presentations.
Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to ensure the role of product development team makes a positive contribution to driving the global brand strategy and budget objectives.
Attend, arrange and support the Brand Managers to key meetings, calls and tradeshows with Licensors/Clients and Licensees.
Where relevant, manage and distribute physical samples to partners, offices, and clients.
Additional Requirements:
English & Portuguese speaking required.
Experience in product development and licensing approvals – preferred.
Strong understanding of product development timelines and multiple consumer product categories.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
A team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
Proactive, positive, and self-motivated work ethic.
Location
This role will be based in Mexico City, MX.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $330,000 MXN - $416,000 MXN. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
