This specific role is on our Optum Care Delivery team. Our business delivers medical services to customers in a clinic setting. The position will work on our revenue / cash team, responsible for calculating, analyzing, tracking/reporting & recording revenue and AR/cash activity.
If you are located within only Central and Eastern time zones, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports
  • Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close
  • Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
  • Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation
  • Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position
  • Assist with or lead the month end quarterly end close process for assigned businesses or groups
  • Performs work in a self-directed manner and works with less structured, more complex issues
  • Serve as a resource to others

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • 1+ years of professional accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven to assess and interprets customer needs and requirements
  • Proven to identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
  • Proven to solve moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
  • Live within Central or Eastern Time Zones

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
