You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Establish and grow discipline bridging centralized research, product, and design. Embed behavioral science into how the organization understands and shapes member decisions and outcomes
- Apply behavioral economics to design choice architecture, reduce friction, and improve member outcomes across end-to-end journeys and service ecosystems
- Drive and evolve the experience vision, principles, and frameworks aligned to business and product strategy, partnering with stakeholders to shape roadmaps and research efforts
- Translate centralized research and behavioral insight into clear, actionable direction for product and design teams
- Embed evidence-based, user-centric thinking into processes, standards, and ways of working, anticipating member needs across journeys
- Serve as a thought leader and escalation point for complex experience challenges, coaching and elevating designers and cross-functional partners through guidance and example
- Translate ambiguous business goals into clear experience strategy and direction, balancing member needs with operational, regulatory, technical, and risk constraints
- Bring behavioral lens to shape experience metrics and evaluation frameworks to ensure consistency, rigor, and quality at scale
- Shape the roadmap for growing this into a dedicated team, with the opportunity to build and lead it over time

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in behavioral economics, experience design, or product design
- Background and experience in strategy, systems thinking, and design for complex ecosystems
- Experience driving and using research, data, and metrics to guide strategy and decision-making
- Healthcare, finance, regulated industry, or other complex domain experience
- Experience mentoring senior practitioners and driving outcomes
- Demonstrated expertise applying behavioral economics, behavioral science, or decision science to product or service design
- Proven ability to operate at a principal level, influencing strategy across products or platforms
- Demonstrated success partnering with product, engineering, and business leadership
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to executive and non-design audiences
- Familiarity with SAFe product development environments at scale

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
