Junior Accountant, IA

The Junior Accountant will perform both accounting and administrative tasks in accordance with the established guidelines and procedures.  Essential responsibilities include the following:

• Ensure that all financial information is recorded in accordance with GAAP and Federal and State regulations and consistent with established Company policy and procedures

• General administrative duties such daily download, saving and compiling reports and assisting in department events

• Prepare daily and month end journal entries

• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations 

• Participation in monthly close process

• Assist with quarter and year-end audits as required

• Assist in researching and investigating issues 

• Assist in monthly close process

• Other duties may be assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Accountancy 

• Understanding of basic financial statements and accounting principals

• 0-1 year of accounting experience

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.

• Good problem-solving and time management skills.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Able to maintain sensitive and confidential information
