The job: 

As a Junior Digital Production Designer at Buildertrend, you’ll help bring digital campaigns to life in ways that make it easier for builders to find, understand and use the tools they need to grow their businesses. You’ll turn creative concepts into polished, on-brand assets across paid media, web and email, helping our marketing teams reach builders with clear, engaging experiences. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will help keep campaigns moving while maintaining a consistent Buildertrend brand. 


What you will do: 

  • Create and refresh digital ad creative for paid channels, including Meta, Google Display, LinkedIn and programmatic platforms.
  • Adapt existing creative templates for new campaigns, offers, audiences and seasonal updates while maintaining visual consistency.
  • Resize, reformat and prepare creative assets across multiple specifications, aspect ratios, file types and platform requirements.
  • Support web and email design mockups and prototypes, incorporating performance insights and feedback from stakeholders into revisions.
  • Optimize and package design files for handoff to media buyers and ad platform trafficking teams, managing resolution, file size and format requirements.
  • Apply Buildertrend brand guidelines consistently across digital placements and flag opportunities to improve the customer experience.
  • Perform basic accessibility checks for elements such as alt text, color contrast and readability, following WCAG standards.
  • Partner with designers, marketing stakeholders and performance teams to implement feedback and revisions quickly to deliver assets on campaign timelines.
  • Produce creative variations for A/B testing and other optimization efforts, helping teams learn which messages and designs perform best.
  • Build and maintain a library of reusable digital templates and production resources that make future campaigns more efficient.
  • Stay up to date on digital design trends, tools and best practices to continuously improve digital assets.
  • Use AI tools to improve efficiency and support your creative process while applying critical thinking and taking ownership of the quality and accuracy of your final work.

Who you are and what you need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, web design, digital media or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a web, digital or production design role.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong digital design and production work, including paid advertising examples is required.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS, and familiarity with a CMS platform such as WordPress is a plus.
  • Understanding of responsive design, digital file production, image optimization, file formats and resolution requirements.
  • Basic awareness of accessibility standards such as WCAG or Section 508 is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail.
