As a Vonage software engineer, you will build the infrastructure and business logic for next generation unified communication platforms.
Under the mentorship of a team lead and senior developers, you will develop software solutions that serve millions of users and businesses in their day to day communication needs, by specializing in end-to-end development.
Your key responsibilities:In this position, you will be using Java and the latest technologies such as: AWS, Terraform, micro-service architecture, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes… etc.
You will develop and maintain services (primarily in Java) that support our next-generation communications platform. We challenge our engineers to be versatile and passionate to tackle new problems as we continue to push technology forward.
What you'll bring:- You have at least 4 years of Java development experience and you know the Linux environment.
- Strong database knowledge (ideally Mongo DB)
- Good working experience with CICD pipelines
- Writing clean and documented code
- Effectively participating in code reviews and design sessions and implementing feedback and learnings.
- You have the ability to troubleshoot and fix bugs and code issues under the guidance of more experienced team members.
Experience we consider a plus:
- Understanding of SDLC, especially in Agile software development methodology: Scrum, Kanban, etc.
