About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development Lead to join one of our development teams. The Development Lead plays an important role in leading technical decision-making processes, ensuring the quality of our platform, mentoring team members, contributing to feature development, and collaborating closely with product management and DevOps teams. This position offers a clear path towards a Team Lead role, where you will have direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead and make informed technical decisions to ensure the robustness and scalability of the platform
- Quality Assurance: Be accountable for the overall quality of the platform, including code quality, performance, and security
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Feature Development: Actively contribute to the development of new features and improvements to existing functionalities
- Collaboration: Work closely with product management to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- DevOps Integration: Coordinate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of the platform
- Lead by Example: Demonstrate best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on full-stack development.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Java and React
- Strong understanding of front-end and back-end development
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven experience in leading technical decision-making processes
- Experience in mentoring and guiding team members
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
