The Role at a Glance
We are looking for a versatile IT Systems Analyst who thrives at the intersection of business
strategy and technical execution. This isn't a role for someone who just wants to "take tickets".
You will be the face of IT for our internal customers—meeting with departments to understand
their pain points, translating those needs into technical requirements, and then rolling up your
sleeves to build the solutions with the team.
What You’ll Do
- Bridge the Gap: Act as the primary liaison between internal business units and the IT
infrastructure. - Requirement Engineering: Lead discovery sessions to define project scopes and
document functional/technical requirements. - Data & Insights: Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored
procedures to extract meaningful data. - Build & Deliver: Create custom reports and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or
SSRS) and perform light coding/scripting to automate manual workflows. - End-to-End Ownership: Manage the full lifecycle of small-to-mid-sized projects, from
the initial "handshake" to final user acceptance testing (UAT).
The Ideal Candidate
Technical Skillset:
- SQL Mastery: You should be comfortable joining multiple tables, building logic in
SQL, and optimizing queries for performance. - Reporting/BI: Proven experience building data visualizations that tell a story.
- Scripting/Coding: Experience with a "small-scale" coding (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or
VBA) to bridge gaps between systems. - Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP or CRM architectures.
Business Acumen: - Consultative Approach: You can walk into a room of non-technical stakeholders and
ask the right questions to find the actual problem, not just the requested solution. - Documentation: Ability to create clear process maps, flowcharts, and technical specs.
- Adaptability: Comfortable shifting from a "Project Manager" mindset in the morning to
a "Developer" mindset in the afternoon.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an Analyst role with direct client/stakeholder interaction.
- Experience with working closely with business users.
