Vast is looking for an IT Support Specialist, reporting to the Manager, IT, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. Use this space to describe the role and sell the candidate on the cool stuff they would get to work on. 

This will be a full-timenon-exempt position located in our Mojave or Long Beach locations. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve difficult technical issues with limited information
  • Provide help desk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
  • Maintains and supports enterprise resources, including laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile phones and other network enabled devices
  • Monitor, respond and resolve incidents in an ITSM system while ensuring SLA performance metrics are met. Ex: Jira SM, ZenDesk
  • Strong troubleshooting of Windows 10/11 operating system
  • Strong troubleshooting of MacOS
  • Some understanding of Active Directory or LDAP
  • Comfortable replacing hard drives, memory and other computer components
  • Onboarding/ offboarding users
  • Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
  • Provide support for multiple locations
  • Installing, moving, equipment that may weigh up to 50 lbs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in IT 
  • Proven experience with ITSM tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry regulations and standards regarding IT and data

Pay Range: 

  • IT Support Specialist I: $28.00 - $39.00
  • IT Support Specialist II: $39.00 - $45.00

Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package.
