The Cyber Security department at NiSource ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of NiSource assets to achieve the company mission. This team performs various measures to protect the company with a wide range of technologies to combat the latest threats in an ever-evolving landscape.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Performs all required operational maintenance and troubleshooting of supported systems

Works with vendors, application developers, database administrators, corporate IT, and other technology groups to resolve problem

Assists in the design and development of System implementations

Evaluates and tests software changes and updates supplied by vendors, prior to installation

Maintains appropriate change management documentation for all hardware and software modification
- Application Management System Support Specialists provide assistance related to the installation, operation, and maintenance of computer software application programs.

Typically the contact person who would receive and handle support tickets and resolve support-related issues.

Provides hands-on technical maintenance or walk users through a troubleshooting and resolution process by phone or through electronic platforms such as real-time chat.

Tracks support records and analyzes data to identify patterns of common issues.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Experience listed below could be obtained through a combination of school work, classes, research, or any relevant previous job or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Experience with IT Systems support such as help desk, infrastructure support, application support, or related duties

Experience with MS Office Suite

Familiarity with SQL and Java

Related experience in the utility industry
