The IT Site Leader for the Avio Aero Bielsko-Biała Plant serves as the primary bridge between Plant Operations and the broader Digital Technology organization. This role ensures seamless IT support, strategic alignment, and adoption of digital solutions at the site level to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Essential Responsibilities
As an Digital Technology Site Leader for Avio Aero Bielsko- Biała Plant, you will be responsible for:
Operational Excellence and Business Continuity: Ensure Site issues / needs are properly taken in charge and fully resolved / supported by effectively collaborating with DT central teams (End User Support, Cybersecurity team, Infrastructure & Network and Product teams). Proactively manage site-level risk, resilience, and continuity plans; escalate and resolve incidents to minimize downtime and protect SQDC outcomes.
DT Focal point and Leadership: Act as the single point of contact at the Site for all DT related matters; represent DT within the Site Leadership Team and actively participate to Site operating rhythms (Staff Meetings, PCC, Kaizen, Gemba, etc.). Demonstrate accountability for Site, Business, and Company objectives. Periodically provide updates to Site Leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes for DT and cross-functional initiatives.
Technology strategy alignment: Develop the Site DT strategy and roadmap aligned to Avio Aero and GE Aerospace priorities and business goals. Advocate for site-specific needs and partner with DT HQ and product owners to prioritize high-impact initiatives.
Cross-functional Collaboration and compliance: Collaborate across multiple functions and teams (both within Digital Technology and Business areas) to drive successful deployment and adoption of digital solutions. Ensure adherence to policies, cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and audit readiness.
Process Optimization and standardization: Develop key understanding of key Site processes. Support Product teams in mapping current-state, identifying gaps, and implementing standard solutions that improve quality, delivery and efficiency. Closely collaborate with other DT Site Leaders to align on standard and share best practices across Sites.
Technology Adoption and change management: Lead change management at the Site to drive adoption, training, and sustained use of digital solutions; collect feedback and inform continuous improvement. Provide regular status, risk, and benefit realization updates to Product teams and Site leadership.
Project Management: Lead and coordinate DT project execution at the Site; manage scope, schedule, resources, and outcomes. Own the Site IT budget (centrally and/or locally billed) and ensure cost discipline, transparency, and value delivery. Serve as the local leader for global DT implementations.
Talent coaching and development: Coach and mentor Site DT resources to grow skills, elevate performance, and align work to organizational goals; partner with solid-line managers to ensure career development and engagement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.
Demonstrated Customer orientation, problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset; proven ability to deliver results in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
Experience in implementing and supporting current information technologies in Business Operations. Demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.
Clear and effective communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and align diverse teams.
Proficiency in English (oral and written)
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required.
