The IT Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for ensuring solutions meet documented requirements and designs by leading, designing and performing testing and validation for system functionality and reporting. This position will be responsible for developing test plans and creating functional test scenarios that validate requirements while ensuring existing functionality is not adversely impacted. The IT QA Analyst will provide training, assistance, and overall guidance to others participating in testing.
Your Impact:
- Execute System, User Acceptance, and other types of testing for IT initiatives and projects.
- Assist in establishing and improving testing standards.
- Manage daily testing, bug tracking, resolution progress reporting, and maintaining test results and output for future reference.
- Maintain and update existing test cases for future initiatives (regression testing, disaster recovery testing, data staging, etc.).
- Develop the test plan for projects or other IT initiatives and provide test strategies to be incorporated into the overall project plan in support of defined IT process.
- Work with appropriate business and IT Services Management to determine the acceptable range for test results and overall performance.
- Identify data and configuration needs to fully support established test cases and allow for complete testing.
- Raise risks, issues, and action items to Project Management and/or IT Services Management during all phases of testing.
- Participate in production implementation verification and being accountable for validating system quality.
- Assist and contribute towards proposing, communicating, and developing best practices and process improvement initiatives for Quality Assurance processes and methodologies.
- Ensure that testing activities will allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
- Validate new and modified reports and supporting application objects such as filters, prompts, metrics, thresholds, drill screens, etc.
- Provide data quality and integrity efforts during system or data migrations and new business acquisitions.
Successful Candidates Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, computer science, or related field.
- 2+ years of related quality assurance or SDLC testing methodology experience
- Working knowledge of software development lifecycle models (i.e., Waterfall, Agile)
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office solutions.
- Previous experience using insurance-based policy administration systems a plus.
At One80 Intermediaries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, and 10 days of paid time off and 11 paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected annual pay range for this position is between $51,800 to $65,000 plus discretionary bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
