IT/OT Cybersecurity Manager | DSL-01

As SkyNRG is developing Europe’s most exciting greenfield energy projects, cybersecurity is becoming a critical enabler of safe, resilient, and compliant operations. As experienced IT/OT Cybersecurity Manager you will take ownership of our cybersecurity posture across both enterprise IT and industrial/operational technology (OT) environments.

About the role

In this role, you will operate at the intersection of strategy, engineering, and operations. You will define and implement a robust cybersecurity framework that protects our corporate systems as well as our industrial control environments. Working in a largely greenfield setting, you will have the unique opportunity to design and build secure architectures from the ground up, directly contributing to the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and the broader energy transition.

Your impact will be tangible: strengthening our cybersecurity maturity, ensuring that new production environments are secure from day one, and enabling safe and uninterrupted operations in a mission-critical industry.

Your responsibilities

You will lead the development and execution of IT/OT cybersecurity capabilities across SkyNRG. Your responsibilities include:

Strategy & Governance

• Define and maintain IT/OT cybersecurity strategy, policies, and standards

• Establish and govern cybersecurity controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001, NIS2)

• Own governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) activities across IT and OT

Architecture & Engineering Oversight

• Oversee secure architecture design, including network segmentation and IT/OT interfaces

• Ensure cybersecurity requirements are embedded in systems, projects, and vendor deliverables

• Guide secure integration of OT environments (e.g., DCS, SIS, MES, LIMS, EAM, IIoT)

Operations & Incident Management

• Oversee security monitoring, incident response, and operational readiness

• Ensure vulnerability management, patching, backup, and recovery processes are in place

• Coordinate cybersecurity assessments, audits, penetration testing, and go-live readiness reviews

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Act as the main cybersecurity interface for operations, engineering, IT, and external partners

• Assess cybersecurity maturity of vendors and system integrators

• Drive awareness, training, and change management initiatives across the organization

What success looks like

Within the first 6–12 months, you will have laid the foundation for a scalable cybersecurity function. Success in this role includes:

• A measurable increase in cybersecurity maturity

• Secure-by-design implementation of project environments

• Clear governance, visibility, and control over IT/OT cybersecurity risks

Your profile

You recognize yourself in the following:

• You bring 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including hands-on work in OT/ICS environments

• You have a strong understanding of industrial networks, SCADA/ICS systems, and IT/OT integration

• You combine strategic thinking with practical implementation and execution

• You are an effective communicator who can translate complex risks into clear business impact

In addition, you likely have:

• Experience with frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, or ISO 27001

• Expertise in areas like network segmentation, identity & access management, SIEM/XDR, and vulnerability management

• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills in cross-functional environments

Certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, or GIAC are a plus.
