We are looking for a talented IT Operations Support Specialist (m/w/d) to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Cummins Global Desktop Department in Marktheidenfeld, Bayern, Germany. This position offers a hybrid work model after the initial training period, allowing 80% on-site / 20% remote work.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- You perform routine system maintenance, implement required changes, and ensure effective disaster recovery to keep systems stable and reliable.
- You set up technology for new employees by preparing and delivering their devices and ensuring they have correct and timely system access.
- You resolve technical issues and carry out authorized updates and upgrades to existing systems to maintain optimal performance and security.
- You conduct preventative checks on IT systems and networks, monitor performance, and proactively address potential risks to avoid disruptions.
- You investigate incidents thoroughly to identify and address the true root cause, ensuring long-term and sustainable solutions.
- You ensure efficient work processes by continuously looking for improvements and applying best practices to optimize how tasks are carried out.
- You manage access rights responsibly, ensuring users receive the correct system permissions while protecting systems from unauthorized access.
- You support day‑to‑day IT operations, manage service requests end to end, maintain accurate system records, and help ensure service levels meet business expectations.

- Strong problem‑solving skills using structured, data‑driven methods to identify root causes, implement long‑term solutions, and prevent recurrence.
- Ability to optimize work processes through efficient, continuous improvement.

Education/ Experience:
- Fluent English and advanced German are required for this position.
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or relevant equivalent experience.
- Minimal relevant work experience required.
