Job Overview
Working as an IT Operations Engineer, you’ll be managing infrastructure, operating systems, respond to incidents and be on standby, keep the applications secure and compliant and automate repetitive tasks.

- managing Linux and Windows environments

- network storage (NFS/NAS, SAN, CIFS/SMB)

- scripting knowledge to automate repetitive tasks
- building and integrating tools that will assist in improving system availability, reliability, and performance
- utilizing CI/CD tooling to automate (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
- Configuration management
- enforcing configuration (Ansible, Puppet)
- Monitoring and troubleshooting
- performance monitoring
- proactive identifying problem areas of a system, i.e. software bugs, misconfigurations, bottlenecks
- trend analysis
- Incident and problem management
- coordinating incident management and service restoration
- part of the on-call team of engineers that support production systems
- Service level management
- proactive monitoring and adherence to SLAs
- holding IT Engineering, Security and Architecture accountable for remediation of any SLA degradation
- IT Key Controls
- ensuring system security compliance with ING standards and policies
- collating and providing necessary evidence to Auditors for these controls
- Disaster recovery (DR) & business continuity planning (BCP)

Key Capabilities/Experience
- Work comfortably with RHEL and Windows
- Develop and run applications in the cloud (Azure, GCP)
- Continuously integrate and deploy (CI/CD, git, jenkins, ansible)
- Comfortably write automation scripts (bash, python, powershell)
- Administer and query SQL (Oracle)
- Manage certificates, vulnerabilities and software lifecycle
- Work and analyze aggregated logs (ELK, Syslog)
- Configure networks (DNS, load balancing, firewalls)
- Work with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Work with IT Management tools (Azure DevOps, ServiceNOW)
- Knowledge on basic security fundamentals and IT risk management
- Ability to work in an agile environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient level of experience in CI/CD
- Proficient level of handling incident and problem management
- Proficient level in scripting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Accountable and takes ownership of problems
- Demonstrates composure and effective decision-making in high-pressure situations

Skills Required
