We’re looking for an experienced IT Audit Manager to lead and deliver end‑to‑end internal audits, with a strong focus on technology, data and emerging risk. This role provides exposure to senior stakeholders and the Board Audit Committee, and the opportunity to apply modern data analytics and AI‑assisted techniques to deepen audit insights.

You’ll work collaboratively across the business, contributing to a forward‑looking audit function that supports the organisation’s risk management and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver technology and selected business audits across the full audit lifecycle

  • Assess risks, processes and controls, and provide clear, practical assurance and insights

  • Develop high‑quality audit reports, including issue significance analysis and agreed management actions

  • Leverage data analytics to test controls, identify anomalies and enhance audit outcomes

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business and Group Audit

  • Monitor emerging risks, business changes and issue management activities

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives locally and at Group level

We support flexible and hybrid ways of working. This role follows a hybrid model with team anchor days on Monday and Thursday, and the flexibility to work two days from home and three days in the office each week (or equivalent agreed arrangements).

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • 5+ years’ experience in internal and/or external audit, with a focus on technology and data risk

  • A relevant degree (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology or similar)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences

  • Proven stakeholder engagement capability and sound commercial judgement

  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team environment

  • A professional qualification such as CISA

  • Experience using data analytics tools, including SQL, Python or other scripting languages

  • Experience in financial services or other regulated environments (desirable)
