IT Analyst I - Applications
Role Definition:
The successful candidate will join the Global Information Services IT (GIS IT) team to be onsite support for San Antonio, Texas reporting to an IT Manager. The role is to assist Caterpillar by acting as IT analyst, primary responsibility will be the support of shop floor IT in the machining plant. The candidate will also support the office staff and Managers for IPSD as well. The candidate will be included in the shop floor after-hours on call schedule that provides support for all three IPSD South Texas sites. A secondary part of the role will be to provide support for the Schertz, Texas Machining facility as needed. The ability to diagnose and resolve IT issues on complex systems will be the critical success factory for the successful candidate.
What You Will Do:

• Work daily in collaboration with Local IT Controls team on factory floor PC and printer related issues impacting production.
• Provide printer support for both the office and factory printers.
• Maintain backups of critical machines on the shop floor
• Troubleshooting and resolve issues related to the Kiosk PCs around the Schertz facility.
• Resolve, or escalate to the appropriate group, incident tickets received via ServiceNow.
• Provide backup support to the Schertz, Texas facility as needed.
• Troubleshooting network connectivity issues on the shop floor
• Assist in PC patching compliance issues.
• Office IT support for the site leadership and guests.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting of the telepresence equipment in conference rooms.
• Diagnose network connectivity issues in the offices.
• Provide individual support for the Managers and staff.
• IT setup and support to All Employee Meetings.

What You Have:

• Experience in working in an Operational Role with ITSM background.
• Experience in problem solving in complex \ multiple environments.
• Problem solving and analysis.
• Systems Documentation
• People skills
• Experience on Dell PCs
• Communication skills both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail.
• Teamwork

Skill Descriptors:
Core Application Systems : Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.

Education/Experience: Degree or equivalent experience desired

• The primary location for this position is San Antonio, TX
• This role requires 5 days onsite.

Summary Pay Range:
$79,800.00 - $119,760.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
