Role Title:ISANO - Engineering Project Manager
Role Description: The role is an Engineering Project Manager within the Modelling and Standards team to establish the Integrated Sensor Architecture National Office (ISANO) under Project AMP06006 and will be responsible for the planning, coordination, governance and delivery management activities necessary to establish the ISANO.
Mandatory Qualifications
Applicants must meet all mandatory requirements. Failure to provide evidence may result in exclusion from further evaluation.
• Master Degree (or higher) in any of the following: Project Management, Program Management, Engineering Management, Business Administration (MBA), Management Studies, or a closely related discipline relevant to the delivery of complex technology and engineering projects.
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Computer Science, Systems Science or equivalent technical discipline.
• Hold, or be able to demonstrate immediate eligibility to obtain, a recognised professional project management accreditation such as PMP, CPPM, CPPP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP Practitioner or equivalent.
• Demonstrated minimum of 15 years of Industry experience in Engineering or Project Management, preferably in ICT environments
• Demonstrated experience managing complex engineering, systems integration, ICT, C4I or Defence capability projects, preferably in a military C4 environment.
• Hold, or be eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance (minimum), with the ability to obtain and maintain any higher clearance required by Defence.
• Complete any mandatory Defence or role-specific training requirements.
Highly Desirable
The following criteria will be used to differentiate between candidates who satisfy the mandatory requirements:
• Advanced project management accreditation through AIPM, PMI, PRINCE2, MSP, MoP or equivalent professional bodies.
• Demonstrated experience managing Defence systems integration, interoperability, standards implementation, architecture, verification and validation, or capability assurance projects.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects within Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), or equivalent engineering governance frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience in Defence acquisition, sustainment, systems engineering, integration, test and evaluation, communications, ICT, battle management or C4I environments.
• Experience managing projects involving open architectures, interoperability standards, military sensor systems, tactical communications networks, or software-enabled capability systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PMBOK, PMMv2, Agile delivery methodologies and Defence project governance frameworks.
• Extensive experience providing strategic advice to senior Defence, APS, military and industry stakeholders.
• Proven record of delivering complex engineering outcomes through multidisciplinary teams in high-risk or technically complex environments.
