THE POSITION
Reporting organizationally to the Senior Telecom Manager, the CATV/IPTV Manager will be a key member of the FWWC27 Technology team, and work in close collaboration with the Technology teams based in Brazil and Zurich and other key individuals responsible for delivering the CATV and IPTV solutions required for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the CATV/IPTV service planning, delivery, and operations for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027. The service includes:
o CATV and IPTV systems in Stadia and IBCC
o Streaming to various platforms
o VOD services
o TVs in all FWWC27 Venues - Organize procurement of CATV/IPTV services, manage the selected supplier
- Review Legacy and Overlay CATV/IPTV design documentation and ensure it meets FIFA requirements.
- Actively participate in the scope and R&R definition, liaison with different stakeholders, including Host Broadcaster, Stadia, CATV/IPTV suppliers etc.
- Lead the CATV/IPTV infrastructure design, implementation and integration, ensuring it meets FIFA Standards and requirements
- Overseeing the effective and efficient usage of Legacy Network services.
- Ensure the Project scope, timelines and budget are respected by all the stakeholders. Track the progress of CATV/IPTV Infrastructure implementation, report status, issues and risks related to Infrastructure projects and operations, according to Technology governance and keep counterparts aligned
- Liaise with and / or support other projects in clarifying requirements, adhering to robust change management protocol. Deliver technical guidance, coaching & mentoring to team members, including preparation of good practice and educational material for personnel
YOUR PROFILE
Education
- University degree or similar higher education, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or related field
Experience
- Strong experience in CATV/IPTV
- Experience in the Sports / major event industry
- Proven track record of successful delivery of complex CATV/IPTV Infrastructure Projects
- Experience in Management of distributed international team of telecom experts and professional
Skills & Competencies
- Manager with experience in similar projects
- Good knowledge of venue technology services across major sporting events
- Strong IT skills and relevant knowledge in CATV/IPTV/Streaming Services, including infrastructure design, implementation, integration and connectivity.
- Should have broad understanding of CATV/IPTV, Streaming and Broadcast Infrastructure and Information Technologies in Sport Events and sufficient experience in design, commissioning and operation of following protocols/technologies: H.264/H.265 encoding, Multicast, SRT, RTMP, DVB, fiber convertors, etc.
- Ability to always maintain a professional demeanour. Consistently interacts professionally and works productively with all levels of employee
- Excellent cross group collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams across groups, conflict management and driving consensus to deliver on program milestones
- Good Leadership skills and able to manage and motivate other team members
- Highly adept at consulting, negotiating, communicating, consensus building and facilitation
- Excellent verbal and written communication, training, and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt speech to audience coming from a broad spectrum of disciplines and with various levels of technical knowledge

Certifications & Requirements
- Proficiency in any other FIFA language (FR / ES / GER) is an asset
- Willing to travel within Brazil (up to 30%), with some trips with a long duration (15 days or more)
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)
- Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.

Skills Required
