Within the SCD area of Intralogistics Development we are responsible for establishing, leading, supporting, and developing logistics solutions for the various IKEA units that have a logistical and fulfilment component, including the development and innovation agenda of intralogistics at IKEA global. In practical terms, we optimise digital and physical flows in IKEA logistics and fulfilment units, by providing innovative, technology driven, automated solutions.

Job Description

So – what does it mean to be a Intralogistics Service Implementation Leader in IKEA? You will lead, along with teams of Intralogistics specialists, the implementation of the IKEA Intralogistics Development digital and establishment service offer.   The Intralogistics Development service offer supports the goods handling value chain from our suppliers to IKEA retailers globally.  You, along with dynamic teams, will ensure quality and on-time delivery for our internal IKEA service customers.

Further, this will be some of the tasks connected to the role:

  • Lead Intralogistics projects and reviews by securing the deliverables through the Intralogistics team.
  • Lead the IKEA or external supplier System/Solution/Component implementation and its commissioning.
  • Lead the development of the logistical and digital setup within logistics establishment or retrofit projects.
  • Contribute to the development of the Intralogistics Service Offer Implementation department by implementing learnings and developing traditional, hybrid and agile ways of working.
  • Secure an information and communication flow within each project and through the Intralogistics sub area.
  • Facilitate training "camps" for specific target groups like project and service implementation leaders and other Intralogistics stakeholders.
  • Travels are included periodically in this position.

Qualifications

You have a strong interest in supply chain and intralogistics as well as in technology, digitalization, and automation. You have a passion for planning and leading in a global assignment and to drive and develop the business and yourself to deliver excellent results. Moreover, you have a desire to collaborate and interact with various stakeholders.

We also believe that you have:

  • Understanding of intralogistics digital solutions and of development projects.
  • Positive attitude and motivated by taking on challenges to simplify complex issues and come up with straight forward solutions.
  • Relevant work experience in intralogistics projects or related digital technology service implementation.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of IKEA processes and organisations as well as IKEA's supply chain.
  • Good understanding of how your everyday work adds customer value by delivering result.
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of Intralogistics.
  • Basic understanding of component implementation and Start Up.
  • Deep Knowledge of the Warehousing Concept.
  • Experienced or educated in process-oriented project and agile team management.
