POSITION SUMMARY
- The CO-OP will be part of a technology team for Air Products new technology center in Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV) in Saudi Arabia.
- The candidate will work on Reliability Modeling techniques for applications in Oil & Gas Process Plants.
- Primary focus will be on learning reliability theory, data collection and preparation, writing Python code and modules, and preparing best practices in applying the models and algorithms for industrial applications.
- Understand and validate the underlying methods in Reliability Modeling (Cox proportional hazard) algorithms and assess for use in the application.
- Troubleshoot problems in installation of firmware and setting up of a data pipeline.
- Collect data from plant operations and interpret and prepare them for evaluation by the model.
- Write basic Python code for automating the modeling task using specific python libraires for reliability models.
- Apply algorithms to field data, arrive at performance metrics and methods to improve performance.
- Document and present test cases and best practices.
- Familiarity with probability theory, reliability models, or Cox proportional hazard model.
- Hands-on experience in coding in Python programming language is required, or alternatively, coding experience with C, C++, VBA or R.
- Previous experience in of any of data processing, statistical modeling, data science/ machine learning, reliability modeling and failure analysis.

Skills Required
