What's the Short Version?
The International Logistics Coordinator I is responsible for overseeing and managing the flow of ocean and air shipments around the world. They coordinate and monitor company products as they move through the global logistics life cycle, utilizing various business tools to optimize shipping and transport processes.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Utilize logistics management system/platform to manage and monitor product flow and inbound and outbound shipment lifecycle on a global basis.
- Assist in creating monthly vendor forecasts and carrier allocation plans in order to optimize transportation flows while managing cost.
- Manage and monitor shipment planning and route optimization with end to end solutions for all shipments; ensure shipments are delivered at the right location at the right time to meet customer needs.
- Check carrier performance data to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
- Serve as a point of contact in developing and maintaining effective positive relationships with external customers (ocean carriers, air freight forwarders, factory vendors, etc.) as well as internal customers (Sourcing, Supply Chain, IT, Legal, Custom Compliance, Accounting, etc.).
- Ensure weekly billing is validated against contracts, corrected of any discrepancies, and then made ready for payment processing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
What Are We Looking For?
- 1-3 years of global logistics industry experience including multi-modal planning, import/export, and ocean and air forwarding
- Maintains a clear understanding of logistics terminology and processes, incoterms, and shipping documentation.
- Must be a team-player with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with and keep a positive, supportive attitude towards the company, customers and co-workers.
- Ability to plan, organize and self-manage work assignments to prioritize and optimize productivity.
- Must be detail-oriented, a multi tasker and be able to work under pressure.
- Ability to interpret and utilize data to identify issues for process improvement, and to make sound suggestions.
- Ability to follow through on a project to completion and identify risks, contributing to mitigation plans, and troubleshooting when any problems occur.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and a second language (such as Vietnamese, Hindi or Chinese) preferred but not required.
What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $21.50 - $30.00 on an hourly basis, depending on experience.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 5% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?
Hybrid: SanMar's Eastpointe office is located in Issaquah, WA in the Seattle metropolitan area. Employees are required to work in our offices Tuesday through Thursday each week and additional days may be added based on business needs. Our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Periodic travel may be required. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and participating in virtual and in-person meetings. Frequent use of hands for keyboarding and standard office equipment is required. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be needed to attend meetings or collaborate in an office setting. The role requires the ability to perform close visual work on a computer for extended periods. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10–15 pounds.
