About the role
Affirm is seeking a highly organized and resourceful Internal Events Specialist I to support the delivery of exceptional employee experiences across our global, remote-first organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Events and partnering closely with the Event Design team, this role will be responsible for coordinating the operational and logistical execution of internal events, ensuring event experience runs smoothly from planning through delivery.
As a key member of the Internal Events team within Places & Experiences, this individual will serve as a trusted logistics partner for teams across the company, managing travel, venues, catering, vendor coordination, registration, budgeting, and event operations. They will help scale Affirm’s internal events program by maintaining efficient processes, leveraging technology to streamline execution, and delivering consistent, high-quality experience that foster connection, collaboration, and culture.

What you’ll do
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal event logistics requests and support stakeholders through the event planning process.
Coordinate event logistics including travel, accommodations, catering, venue sourcing, transportation, shipping, registration management, and on-site execution.
Support the delivery of recurring team gatherings, connection days, leadership meetings, and other internal events using established event frameworks and playbooks.
Management relationships with vendors and suppliers, including obtaining quotes, coordinating contracts, tracking deliverables, and ensuring quality execution.
Leverage technology and event management tools to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the stakeholder experience.
Partner closely with Workplace, Finance, Procurement, People, and other cross-functional teams to coordinate event-related logistics and approvals.
Track event expenses, reconcile invoices, and support budget reporting.
Gather stakeholder feedback and identify opportunities to improve operational excellence across the internal events program.
Provide occasional on-site event support, including travel as needed for key company gatherings and team events.
What we look for
3+ years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, operations, workplace experience, travel management, project coordination, or a related field.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality experiences.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently and adapt quickly in fast-moving environments.
Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems; experience with project management, event management, travel, or registration platforms is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer-service-oriented mindset.
Resourceful, proactive, and willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
Experience working in a remote or distributed environment is a plus.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% based on business needs.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.

Equity Grade - 2
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)
USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $80,000 - $100,000
USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $71,000 - $91,000
