Job Description

The Internal Communications team is focused on engaging GE HealthCare colleagues globally and creating a strong internal colleague experience while advancing the company’s strategy, purpose and culture.

We are looking for a motivated, technically capable and detail-oriented internal communications professional to lead central digital-channel operations and help improve how GE HealthCare plans, publishes, measures and governs colleague communications.

In this role, you will work directly within The Beat platform and related communications and workflow tools to build, publish, configure, test, troubleshoot and report on central colleague communications. You will manage the detailed all-colleague publishing calendar and contributor workflow, lead the content contributor network, strengthen channel governance and standard work, and use performance insights to recommend improvements.

You will work closely with the Colleague Engagement Communications Leader, technical product manager, internal communicators, and content contributors across GE HealthCare globally.

Channels and tools may include the web- and app-based internal communications platform, email, digital signage, broadcast, project management and other platforms used to plan, publish and measure colleague communications.

This role will:

  • Serve as the communications team’s primary hands-on expert for The Beat, including building, configuring, publishing, testing, quality assurance and routine troubleshooting.
  • Translate colleague communications needs into practical platform requirements and recommendations, partnering with technical product management on technical dependencies and implementation.
  • Lead detailed planning and publishing operations across the central internal communications channel ecosystem, including the editorial calendar, Workfront workflows, contributor submissions, targeting, scheduling and deadlines.
  • Implement approved platform features, structural updates and process improvements that increase channel reliability, relevance, adoption and engagement.
  • Compile, validate and analyze channel-performance data; identify trends and opportunities; recommend improvements; and help evolve the team’s measurement framework and KPIs.
  • Lead the content contributor network through regular communications, onboarding, training, platform guidance, problem-solving and accountability.
  • Own channel governance, publishing standards, standard operating procedures and quality control, resolving routine issues independently and escalating significant exceptions when appropriate.
  • Advise communicators on audience needs, channel selection, timing, targeting and content approach, while providing backup support for priority central-channel production and distributions.
  • Own the Patient Stories program, including sourcing, content development, applicable compliance, channel strategy and promotion.
  • Contribute to the Colleague Communications Center of Excellence by improving standard work, reducing manual effort and responsibly applying AI-enabled tools where they improve quality, efficiency or insight.

Required Qualifications

  • Five or more years of communications experience, preferably supporting internal or employee audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience managing enterprise digital communications channels or platforms, including publishing, configuration, testing, quality assurance, troubleshooting and reporting.
  • Experience managing editorial or publishing calendars, multiple contributors, project dependencies and competing deadlines.
  • Experience compiling and interpreting digital-channel performance metrics and using insights to recommend improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information and complex processes clearly to nontechnical audiences.

Desired Characteristics

  • Meaningful internal or employee communications experience in a large, complex or global organization.
  • Direct hands-on experience managing an enterprise employee-communications platform (FirstUp preferred), including email, mobile, notification or other multichannel communications operations and workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multifaceted projects and deliverables with a strong focus on detail, quality, deadlines and follow-through.
  • Strong analytical judgment, including the ability to identify meaningful patterns in channel data, explain potential drivers and recommend practical action.
  • Experience developing or improving channel governance, standard operating procedures, publishing standards, training or contributor-support models.
  • Experience leading or enabling a network of communicators, contributors, ambassadors or champions without formal reporting authority.
  • Comfort applying AI as well as technical curiosity and confidence learning unfamiliar tools, investigating capabilities and identifying potential solutions.
  • Strong foundational communications skills, including writing, editing, grammar, presentation development, and audience-centered content judgment.
  • The ideal candidate will be commutable to the office in Waukesha, WI
