ABOUT THE ROLE
Motovac Namibia is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Internal Auditor to join the Internal Audit team. Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company's assets and ensuring operational integrity across all branches nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of internal audit assignments, including inventory audits, cash audits, point-of-sale (POS) audits, and procurement audits.
- Identify control gaps and recommend improvements to processes and internal controls.
- Prepare and maintain audit working papers in a professional and organized manner.
- Assist with physical stock counts and reconciliations.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Follow up on the implementation of audit findings and corrective actions.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently serving or completed audit articles, OR has practical experience in a similar internal audit or finance role.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Internal Audit will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong MS Excel skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally to Motovac branches across Namibia.
- Progress towards a professional qualification (CIA, ACCA, or CIMA) will be an advantage.
- Exposure to ERP systems or retail systems will be advantageous.
