Internal Audit Intern (Hybrid)

The Audit Intern assists in conducting financial audits related to the Model Audit Rule to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls. The Audit Intern reports to the AVP, Internal Audit and will be expected to work collaboratively with employees across the organization. NGL utilizes a hybrid work environment which allows employees to work remotely. While working remotely, there may be occasions when presence is required for group / in-person meetings as defined by or at the direction of the company.

Responsibilities: 

• Assist in conducting walkthroughs and tests of controls for NGL’s ongoing Model Audit Rule compliance.
• Prepare internal audit reports and present to management.
• Develop improvement recommendations based on audit results and discuss collaboratively with management to agree on action plans and target dates for remediating identified audit findings.
• Assist in responding to audit requests from NGL’s external auditor and state insurance departments.
• Assist in completing special projects as requested.

Educational Requirements: 

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Risk Management, or related field.
