Position SummaryThe Accounting Intern will support the Finance & Accounting team with daily accounting and administrative activities. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting processes, account reconciliations, cash application activities, and financial systems within a global organization.
Key Responsibilities- Support bookkeeping activities in Oracle and local accounting systems.
- Assist with reconciliations between Oracle and local accounting records.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation activities.
- Maintain and update cashbook records.
- Assist in preparing information required for regulatory and control entities.
- Apply customer payments and withholding taxes based on supporting documentation.
- Review and monitor cash application activities completed by the Cash Applications team.
- Assist with monitoring export-related receivable accounts.
- Provide administrative support to the Finance & Accounting department.
- Support filing, documentation, and record-keeping activities.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. (SENA)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Internship or academic experience in accounting or finance.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle.
