Intern - Industrial Engineering
Based at MAS Capital Intimates, Biyagama
We are seeking a highly analytical and tech-savvy individual to support process improvement, data analytics, digitalization, and operational excellence initiatives within the Production Engineering Center. This role provides hands-on exposure to industrial engineering practices, data-driven decision-making, dashboard development, and digital transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support data collection, documentation, and reporting activities related to production and operational performance.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and performance gaps.
- Develop and maintain digital dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools.
- Assist in digitalization initiatives using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps and Power BI.
- Support process improvement and productivity enhancement projects across manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather operational data and provide analytical insights.
- Assist in project planning, monitoring, and follow-up activities to ensure timely execution.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and process documentation to support business decision-making.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Management, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Power Apps, and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of project management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Skills Required
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Management, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Knowledge of Power Apps
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
