Intern-Design Engineering

As a member of the Applications Engineering team within the Tensilica business unit at Cadence, you will assist in developing and deploying FPGA solutions. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support for software, hardware, and FPGA inquiries and addressing test bench questions. You will also participate in customer support sessions on hardware and software implementation and help troubleshoot and resolve FPGA design issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Migration of existing IP and C code to modules for FPGAs.
• Development of simple modules for FPGAs.
• Know software development tools such as compiler, linker, assembler, debugger, instruction set simulator (ISS), and our Eclipse-based IDE.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Student position with Availability for 2-3 days a week (or more)
• Students in last year of Bachelor’s and plan to continue to a higher degree in Electrical and Computer science.
• Knowledge with C.
• Familiar with Verilog/VHDL.
• Excellent verbal communication skills as well as good problem-solving skills.

High-value additional skills:

• Some background in hardware, software, and FPGA-based emulation systems.
