The Role:
S&P Global Commodity Insights is seeking candidates for a 10-week internship program, commencing on 3rd June 2025, within our Company Strategies team, which is a part of the Upstream Companies and Transactions group.

The Team:
The team undertakes research and writes reports pertaining to oil and gas company strategies and competitive positioning in their core upstream business, and expansion into researching low-carbon strategies.

The Impact:
As part of the team, you will be delivering high-quality insights into the upstream and low-carbon strategies of the world’s largest international oil companies (IOCs) and national oil companies (NOCs). Our coverage universe includes sixty of the largest international oil and gas companies, and thirty-two of the world’s largest National Oil Companies (NOCs). Your research provides valuable insights to customers who are either oil and gas companies or seeking impactful, action-oriented research on the sector.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough data gathering from various financial databases and market research sources.
• Assist in the analysis of financial statements and performance metrics to support senior analysts in their evaluations.
• Contribute to company strategic valuation efforts by providing relevant data and insights.
• Perform peer group analysis to benchmark company performance against competitors.
• Support general tasks and administrative duties within the equity research team as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to prepare reports and presentations that summarize findings and recommendations.

What we're looking for:

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, International Relations, or a related field, currently in their penultimate year (graduating in 2026).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural, multi-continent team.
• Quick thinker and solutions-oriented
