We’re looking for a curious and proactive Communications Intern to join Maersk’s Leadership Communications team in Copenhagen in February 2026. You’ll support communications in a global organisation and across Maersk’s business segments, helping us tell compelling stories, drive engagement, and cascade strategic priorities.
This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment where you’ll contribute to real projects and collaborate with experienced communicators across functions and geographies.
Please note that this is an on-site role, and you will be working out of Maersk’s headquarters at Esplanaden, Copenhagen.
The internship is unpaid and offered for 1 semester.
Key responsibilities
Support the development of content, including articles and videos, for intranet and internal and external SoMe channels.
Assist in planning and executing leadership communications, including town halls, cascade messaging, and strategic updates.
Help coordinate communications for major events and campaigns.
Conduct research and benchmarking to support performance evaluation.
Collaborate with colleagues across corporate communications to gather input and ensure alignment.
Participate in editorial planning and contribute ideas for storytelling formats and channels.
What we’re looking for
Currently enrolled in a full-time Master’s programme in Communications, Media, Journalism, Languages, or a related field.
Eagerness to learn and ability to combine creative, analytical and organisational skills
Impeccable English verbal and writing skills
Familiarity with Gen AI technologies is a benefit
Interest in storytelling.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
