We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Finance team and help us grow smarter as a scale-up. This new role has been created to strengthen data control and quality assurance, particularly to support billing accuracy, Accounts Receivable (AR), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and management reporting. In this position, you will ensure data integrity, build reports, and provide insights that enable more accurate financial processes and better decision-making.
This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will work closely with our Data team in the Engineering department on a daily basis to ensure smooth data flows between financial and technical systems.
Main Responsibilities
Data Integrity Assurance
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used for client invoicing and self-billing processes.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure data used for account reconciliation is reliable and accurate.
- Support FP&A and management with high-quality data for analysis and forecasting.
Data Extraction & Reporting
- Extract, manipulate, and provide data to support the Accounts Receivable team with client queries and reconciliations.
- Develop reports that support group reporting processes.
- Deliver ad-hoc reports and insights to the CFO and management on performance, sales, and key financial metrics.
- Enable detailed financial analysis through accurate data sets that drive strategic decisions.
Database Management & Querying
- Utilize your technical skills to extract, index, and organize financial data across various databases.
- Create and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
- Manage and improve database structures, ensuring efficient links, indices, and relationships.
Cross-functional & Data Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between Finance and Engineering by collaborating closely with the Data team to ensure that financial data pipelines, structures, and dashboards are accurate and aligned.
- Support integration and data consistency between ERP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics 365) and internal databases.
- Work with AR, FP&A, and management to maintain data quality across financial processes.
Profile
Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in a data-driven role, ideally within finance, accounting, or FP&A.
- Proven experience in data extraction, reporting, and accuracy assurance.
- Experience with tools such as SQL, Python, Metabase, and Power BI.
Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL for querying and data extraction.
- Python for automation and data manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Metabase.
- Understanding of database structures, indexing, and optimization.
- Familiarity with data from ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Finance Knowledge
- Understanding of billing, accounts receivable, and group reporting.
- Ability to translate data into insights for FP&A and management use.
