Intern - Commercial Auto Accounting

The intern in this position will gain hands-on experience and exposure to the Accounting function within the Commercial Auto division.

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:

• Rotate within each sub-area of accounting to include treasury, accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial reporting to shadow a member of each team and gain exposure to each function.

• Create a calendar of material cash inflows/outflows for the year.

• Assist the team with paperless initiative, which includes logging mail and resolutions electronically.

• Assist with building and testing of Workday reports.

• Collaborate with team members to complete deliverables

• Attend team meetings and contribute ideas

• Participate in additional projects as assigned

Technical Knowledge and Understanding:

• Proficient in Excel and Outlook

• Strong analytical skills/aptitude

• Exposure to basic accounting principles

• Prior insurance knowledge not required

Skills & Experience Gained from Assignment:

• Gain operational experience within an office environment and working with a team

• Compiling data for management review

Experience:

• Must be currently enrolled in a college program

• Must be able to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship

The expected pay for the role is $18-20/hour.  The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and experiences.   The disclosed pay range estimate may also be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
