Intern - Autonomation
(Based at Fabrics Park - Thulhiriya)
MAS Matrix, is a diversified flat-knit apparel manufacturing facility under MAS Holdings. Matrix houses 1000 Stoll flatbed machines offerings athleisure wear, performance wear, essentials and knit components for global brands such as Nike, Decathlon, Gymshark, Lacoste, Victoria's Secret and Stoko. Changing business dynamics prompted Matrix to explore innovative product solutions that go beyond the traditional realm of sweaters, launching its latest product platform, MVTM, a collection of highly functional, versatile, and fashion-forward designs.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and developing IoT-based systems.
- Work with sensors, microcontrollers, and communication modules.
- Support hardware integration and testing.
- Collect, process, and analyze sensor data.
- Assist in cloud integration and dashboard development.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or recent graduate in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, IoT / Embedded Systems.
- Basic knowledge of Microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi), Sensors and actuators, C/C++, Python, Serial communication (UART, I2C, SPI), Networking basics (WiFi, MQTT, TCP/IP), Cloud platforms (Firebase), Mobile, web dashboard development.
- Collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership and deliver results with minimal supervision.
Skills Required
- Undergraduate or recent graduate in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, IoT or Embedded Systems
- Basic knowledge of microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi)
- Familiarity with sensors and actuators
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
- Knowledge of serial communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI)
- Networking basics: WiFi, MQTT, TCP/IP
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Firebase)
- Experience or interest in mobile and web dashboard development
- Collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with ability to take ownership and work with minimal supervision
