What you'll own- Month-end and year-end close, including reconciliation and cleanup of legacy issues
- Balance sheet integrity — inventory, accruals, reserves, intercompany, and anything else that has drifted
- Accounting system transition or ERP financial module implementation and data migration
- Internal controls and process documentation
- Audit preparation and management of the external audit relationship
- Day-to-day management of the accounting team
- Support to the CFO or sponsor on reporting, diligence requests, and quality of earnings work
- 10+ years in accounting, with at least 3 in a controller or assistant controller role
- Manufacturing environment experience, including inventory and cost accounting
- A record of cleaning up genuinely messy books, not just maintaining clean ones
- Hands-on ERP experience — you can work in the system, not just review its output
- CPA strongly preferred
- Ability to start on short notice and be on site five days a week
Strong plus: ERP conversion or migration lead experience; PE portfolio company reporting; audit background; multi-entity or multi-site consolidation.
