Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to senior derivative marketers, in the structuring, pricing, and marketing of interest rate derivatives (e.g., interest rate swaps, caps, floors, swaptions, and cancellables) and foreign exchange products
Perform specific company research, develop hedging solutions, and prepare client presentations to address the clients’ unique exposure and hedging opportunities
Respond to client inquiries, pertaining to the current interest rate market, derivative structures, pricing, and operations
Work closely with various internal teams – bankers, relationship managers, risk, operations, and others – to effectively manage and close trades pre- and post-execution
Assist other internal teams in ensuring trade confirmations, payments, and other relevant processes are executed successfully, to manage client expectations, and adhere to regulatory requirements
Help construct regular market commentary for clients and internal business partners
Perform ad hoc projects and functions as needed
Competencies:
1+ year of experience engaging in interest rate derivative / fixed income products
Experience in a client-facing role, preferably on the institutional side
Must possess an understanding of financial markets, macroeconomics, fixed income products, derivative valuation (delta 1 and non-linear), and various pricing methodologies and hedging strategies
Must have a propensity for technical details, but able to articulate complex subjects in a manner that is easy to comprehend.
Comfortable researching and analyzing a client’s current financial state using financial statements, and recommending / explaining appropriate derivative structures to fit the clients’ specific needs and goals
Experience in FX derivatives preferred, or the desire to learn
Experience in Bloomberg and fully proficient in the full MS Office suite
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and fluid environment
Must be highly ethical, positive, and intellectually curious, with strong oral and written communication skills. The ability to remain calm and operate effectively under pressure, as well as a high degree of organization and attention to detail are imperative.
Please note this position requires the employee to be in the office full-time. There is not presently an option for remote or hybrid work.
Education:
BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields
